The test strips must be used within 6 months from the moment of the first opening of the package.

GluNEO Lite ® blood glucose test strips are used together with the GluNEO Lite ® glucose meter to measure blood glucose levels.

The GluNEO Lite ® blood glucose monitoring system is calibrated according to blood plasma (the results are equivalent to blood plasma) in order to compare the results with the laboratory method. GluNEO Lite ® blood glucose test strips are designed for conducting studies outside the body (use exclusively in in vitro diagnostics). The monitoring system is designed for self-monitoring by people with diabetes and monitoring by their health care workers.

• Enzyme type: GDH-FAD glucose dehydrogenase using flavin-adenine dinucleotide.
• This type of enzyme in the test strips minimizes the effects of more than 20 active substances, including maltose (found in kidney medicines, lollipops and cough syrup, rye, barley) and galactose, which are dangerous for accurately determining glucose levels.
• Hematocrit of 20% - 65%, allows analysis in people of any age.
• High stability at low and high temperatures.
• Due to the fact that oxygen does not affect this enzyme, it is possible to use not only capillary blood, but also venous blood for self-testing.

A completely new technology for making test strips: it is based on improving the composition of the enzyme (GDH-FAD), which reacts with glucose in such a way that minimizes the effect of other carbohydrates contained in a drop of blood.

GDH (glucose dehydrogenase) is an enzyme that causes a reaction that extracts electrons from glucose. FAD (flavinadenine dinucleotide) is a coenzyme necessary for the reaction of the enzyme glucose dehydrogenase.

Thus, test strips with GDH-FAD technology (such as strips for GluNeo Lite glucose meters) do not show reactivity to any sugar other than glucose. They also have better heat resistance and oxygen resistance.

Important recommendations:

• Before using the GluNeo Lite ™ glucose meter and glucose test strips, carefully read the operating instructions.
• Do not use the glucose meter strips after the expiration date indicated on the package or bottle, as this may lead to erroneous results.
• When opening the container with the test strips for the first time, make a note on the sticker about the end of the use period. After 6 months from the date of opening the container, the remaining unused GluNeo Lite ™ test strips should be discarded.
• Consult with your doctor about daily diabetes management using the GluNeo Lite ™ system.
